Oliver & Becki
Having made Franschhoek their home in 2014, Oliver & Becki Cattermole are hoping to create a great experience for their guests & friends at Bovine. Oliver brings with him a wealth of experience having started his career as a chef in 2000 at the age of just 17, here in the Franschhoek Valley. His passion & determination have been key throughout his career as a chef, having worked in various establishments around the globe, including Michelin Star London Capital Club under Jean-Christophe Novelli, as well as the world
renowned ‘The Ivy’ in London.

Local is lekker
Chefs Oliver Cattermole and Blaine Coetzer came together to create the Bovine concept. Oliver and Blaine felt it was a time to change direction cooking simply, but well, to the highest quality standards and with the same care and respect for the product in a very casual environment with great staff, cool music and a buzzy atmosphere. Everything we serve is made from scratch right here in our kitchen. We buy in the best quality raw ingredients and craft all our dips and sauces, even the mayonnaise on your burger bun, and we are proud to say that many of the Franschhoek valley’s top chefs eat with us on a regular basis!

Black Elephant Vintners & Co and Woodstock Brewery
We have collaborated with local winery, Black Elephant Vintners & Co, as well as Woodstock Brewery, allowing guests to have a wine or beer tasting - the best of both worlds! Black Elephant will also have the majority of their wines available by the glass for our customers to enjoy, while for the beer drinker, anything which is not available from Woodstock Brewery on tap will be chilling in the fridge waiting!
